Everyone who is fond of The Lord of the Rings or The Hobbit film series’, should pay a visit to Matamata to see the magnificent movie set. After our visit there, we met our friends Dean and Faye, who we rode and stayed with at their holiday home in Bowentown. The ride up the coast to Auckland, through the unique nature of the Coromandel Peninsula, was breathtaking.
