Christmas Eve

Being far away from my family during Christmas, especially my two grandsons, is one of the negative things about my round the world trip. This was a known fact before I left and I simply had to live with it. Nevertheless, it was a difficult.

In order to have some Christmas atmosphere in this Muslim dominated country, Lore and I went to a Protestant church in Lahat. Albert was not feeling well so he stayed at the hotel.

It was fascinating to see how the Christmas Eve is celebrated in different countries and this event was very special to both of us. Even in the church we connected with people and two young boys visited us at the hotel the day after. I am afraid that Christmas 2014 will be sticking out for some years to come. Arriving and leaving the church on a motorcycle was also something that I have never done before on that day.
