Hard Workers

If there is enything that distinguishes Asia and east Europe (east Turkey) from the Western world, it must be the Hard Workers – women that carry out the most physically demanding jobs.

It does not matter whether it involves building a house (Nepal), a road construction (Myanmar), the primary processing of the wool (East Turkey) or cutting and bringing home the fire wood for cooking (India) – all is performed by women.

When these women get back home in the end of the day, do they then prepare the dinner, take care of the children, wash the dishes etc.? Or, do the men maybe do that? Has the role been completely reversed? If so, I wonder what people here think of the Western world. Would they like to change places?
