Milford Sound, as well as the countryside on the way to it, is a beautiful place and is regarded as a “must to see” by the tourist industry. Stewart Island, the southern most tip of New Zealand, does not have the same attraction but is beautiful in it’s simplicity. No inhabited place on earth is farther away from our hometown, Reykjavik. That makes Stewart island a unique place to me.
