When it started raining in the afternoon, Albert, Lore and I, stopped at the nearest petrol station and went under a roof, where many locals had gathered. After waiting for more than an hour, we realized that we would not be able to reach the only hotel in the region before darkness – 60 km away. In our search of a solution, a lovely girl, Eva, invited us to stay at her home for the night.
After having a lovely dinner at Eva’s home, we were invited to a wedding reception. There we were encouraged to sing and dance, which we certainly did. We like to belief that the newly married couple and the guests appreciate our enthusiasm š
The morning after, we visited Eva’s brother, Yeni, and his family. We are grateful for the time we spent with Eva, Paulina (mother), Yuni (sister), Fikri (daughter) and Daffa (son) and I would like to thank Eva, in particular, for here initiative, when she invited us to stay with them. This was a precious moment that we had on Sumatra in Indonesia.
I met Albert and Lore when we sent our motorcycles with the vegetable boat from Malaysia to Indonesia. Since then, we have been riding together through Sumatra and Java on our way to Bali.
