It’s interesting traveling by motorcycle in New Zealand with my wife, Asdis, because she has just recently begun riding with me. Unsurprisingly, she immensely enjoys traveling this way. It’s not about a motor or a cycle. It’s about the freedom, the smell, the temperature variations – the total sensation of the environment and nature you are traveling through. When we are stopped, it’s about the people because the motorcycle – this little engineering wonder – attracts them to us. That’s how we got to know Dean and Faye and ended up staying at their home for two nights. This added a totally new dimension to our trip.
