We encountered a severe storm with drenching rain and strong winds on our way to the South Island, which caused us to detour to Hanmer Springs, a spa village in the mountains, where we relaxed and recharged. The yoga, hiking, and eating left us feeling refreshed and ready to take on new adventures.
