Northeast Iceland

After being on the road for more than 10 months, my adjustment to normal life is progressing quite well. Part of this means resting my motorcycle and concentrating on other things. Despite taking a break from long bike trips, I could not resist joining my friends at the BMW Motorcycle Club of Iceland, when they decided to go for five days to the northeast part of Iceland. We went all the way to Fontur, at Langanes, Þeistareykir, Mývatn, Dettifoss, Fjörður and Kjölur – with stops at villages along the way. What a fantastic trip. It made me feel that the BMW GS was initially made for Iceland. The diversity of the Icelandic nature still amazes me and makes me want to go again soon.
